There is a sense of joy and safety at Hillel and they are the same feelings I had being a student at Hillel from 1975 to 1982, only now I feel that Hillel has grown in so many new areas. When I was a kindergarten student at the age of 4 I attended Hillel Hebrew Academy Day School in Beverly Hills, and the first thing we would do after prayers was purchase JNF stamps, which we would place on a tree certificate in the outline of a tree... This would have been in 1955.
